Coming to the Fuji X-T20 after spending a few years only taking pictures with my phone is a revelation.
Dynamic range for B&W raw rivals that of film but with greater sharpness, flexibility and resolution. Noise levels are low.
The ergonomics of the Fuji are fantastic. Not just compared to the phone but also compared to the Canon SLRs I last used to use ~5-6 years ago.
The two lenses I have are amazing compared to the similarly priced lenses I bought and used 10-15 years ago.
The phone cameras are good. Regular cameras have gotten even better. Even budget lenses have become pretty darn good.
Even though the various photography professions are in crisis, this is a great time to get into photography as a creative art form.
@baldur I almost bought the same camera last January: I wanted a "light and all day with me" camera. :) Your review is tempting me again. ^^'
@NicolasConstant 🙂 Yeah, I have no regrets.
Honestly, there are so many good camera options available right now. Even phone cameras hold their own.
